I had a dream i was in the handmaid tale world. Me and 4 other women(my friends) were trying to escape gilead. We were in a post war city going through building trying to find supplies. We went into a building and started searching each floor. Finding food, ammo, and a change of clothes. We made it to the 4th floor where we found a heavily pregnant woman trying to give birth silently. We were going to assist her but we heard vehicles approaching and men getting out and entering the building. We told the lady to try and stay quiet as she could and went to go hide. My friends hid in a closet. And I hid under a bed due to there being no room in the closet. Unfortunately the lady screamed due to the pregnancy and the footstep became closer to the apartment. We heard the lady yelling no please before they escorted her from the building. When then heard them continue to search the apartment we were hiding in. They found us and began escorting us out to the vehicle. My friends were crying and I was uncertain what would happen to us due to is trying to escpae being handmaid's. I asked one of the guards if I could go get my charger for my phone and he randomly said yes. (Were are not allowed to have phones or any electronics in gilead). I proceeded to go into there apartment above and pretend to be looking for a charger. I heard for the man yelling for me and starting panicking and running through the apartment I fell through a floor in to a closet in a lower apartment. I wasnt in pain but was dazed I heard the vehicles speed off and realized my friends and the pregnant woman were taken and I was all alone. I felt bad because I had escaped but only due to me panicking and the gaurds not searching for me. Then I heard loud explosions. Where ever I was protected me from the explosions and debris. Because I climbed out and continue to try and leave gilead.... I woke(in dream) up in a gated community and was invharge of taking care of a 4 year old boy. He had asked me to take him to get mcdonald. I obliged but did not know who the kid was or where he came from and I believed I was dreaming due to being in a civilized not gilead community(i was wearing regular clothes and was able to drive a car).
